Report
State of Recognition & Rewards
Drawing on 242 HR professionals, this report reveals that while 94% of organizations offer recognition or rewards programs, only about one-third rate them as highly effective. Effective programs significantly improve retention, morale, culture, and engagement, with 75% citing “helping employees feel valued” as the top benefit. Common challenges include inconsistent application, limited leadership support, and budget constraints. High-performing organizations tie rewards to performance, gather employee input, and regularly review effectiveness. Monetary incentives and gift cards are the most popular rewards, signaling strong employee preference for tangible benefits.
