The June 2025 Workforce Report focused on entry-level hiring and highlighted a growing disconnect between job seekers and employers. While candidate interest remained strong, many organizations slowed hiring due to economic uncertainty, cost pressures, and widening skills gaps. The report noted that graduates from the Class of 2025 faced a particularly challenging labor market, with open positions available but intense competition for those roles. New graduate unemployment reached 6.6%, the highest level in a decade and significantly above the overall unemployment rate of 4.2%. The findings also revealed a gap between employer intentions and hiring practices.
