IronNet advocates a “whole-of-state” cybersecurity approach to help state and local governments address increasingly sophisticated cyber threats from foreign adversaries and cybercriminals. Recognizing that many public sector organizations face budget constraints and limited cybersecurity resources, the strategy promotes collaboration among state agencies, municipalities, public utilities, educational institutions, and other stakeholders. Rather than operating in isolated silos, participants share threat intelligence and work together to identify, detect, and respond to attacks such as ransomware and other advanced cyber threats.
