Amazon EKS Hybrid Nodes combines an AWS-managed EKS control plane with worker nodes running across connected on-premises and edge locations, while Spectro Cloud Palette handles the infrastructure lifecycle those nodes require. Palette builds VM or bare-metal images with nodeadm and dependencies, registers devices through its edge agent, creates hybrid node pools, and manages upgrades, scaling, observability, security, and governance centrally. Cluster Profiles define the complete stack from OS through applications. Use cases include conserving on-prem GPU capacity, cloudbursting peak workloads, disaster recovery, consistent dev/test-to-production workflows, and unified edge-to-cloud management. Spectro Cloud was selected as the launch Kubernetes management partner for EKS Hybrid Nodes.
