Extreme Networks NetSight integrates with FortiGate to improve real-time identity mapping, policy enforcement, and threat containment across wired, wireless, guest, and remote access networks. NetSight provides FortiGate with current usernames, IP addresses, locations, applications, security posture, and connection status, preventing stale records from applying the wrong policies. RADIUS accounting updates mappings when users connect or disconnect, including guests authenticated through local portals. NetSight also shares application activity with edge switches for reporting and granular controls.
