Firefly-1A – Extended Temperature Option
The Firefly‑1A Extended Temperature module delivers ±50 ns RMS 1 PPS accuracy when GPS‑locked and maintains holdover stability within ±11 µs over three hours at 25°C without motion. Its OCXO‑based 1 PPS output uses 3.3 V CMOS, and control is supported via NMEA and SCPI‑99. It provides Linux SNTP server compatibility and avionics‑grade 3D velocity vector outputs. The 50‑channel GPS receiver supports WAAS, EGNOS, and MSAS, with acquisition sensitivity of –144 dBm and tracking sensitivity of –160 dBm. TTFF is under 45 seconds cold and 1 second for warm or hot starts, with ADEV of 1E‑11 at 1 second and TTL alarms for lock and hardware faults.
