Fortinet and IBM Security integrate QRadar with FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer to centralize security monitoring across heterogeneous environments. FortiGate provides firewalling, antivirus, intrusion prevention, application control, web filtering, data loss protection, and other controls, while FortiAnalyzer collects, filters, correlates, and forwards FortiGate logs to QRadar through Syslog. QRadar combines those events with asset profiles, network flows, threat data, and compliance information, then uses rules and anomaly detection to prioritize offenses for investigation. Example use cases include stopping cross-site scripting before data loss, correlating virus events across endpoints, and identifying denial-of-service traffic so administrators can update FortiGate IPS rules quickly.
