Fortinet and Quantum Xchange combine FortiGate Secure SD-WAN with Phio Trusted Xchange to add crypto-diverse, quantum-safe protection to existing VPN and WAN connections. Phio TX generates on-demand ephemeral symmetric keys and sends them out of band through a separate protected tunnel and mesh network, replacing static preshared keys without adding a network hop. The platform supports NIST post-quantum cryptography, quantum random-number-generated keys, quantum key distribution, ETSI standards, and FIPS validation. Each FortiGate tunnel can request an additional quantum-safe key, enabling algorithm changes, rekeying, and upgrades without latency, packet loss, or downtime.
