Users can import floor plans, add physical obstructions, select access point models, and apply scenarios such as voice, high-priority data, or standard coverage. Ray-tracing algorithms estimate signal loss and reflection to calculate recommended FortiAP quantities and placement, while built-in reports identify required product SKUs. After installation, the site survey feature uses a Windows laptop or tablet to measure actual signal strength and reveal coverage gaps. Real-time heat maps also display congestion, failed access points, and self-healing behavior, enabling teams to fine-tune placement and improve wireless performance.
