FortiRPS 740 is an external redundant power supply designed to maintain availability when the internal power supply of a supported Fortinet device fails. The appliance automatically provides backup power to compatible FortiGate and FortiSwitch systems, reducing downtime in mission-critical network environments. Its compact one-rack-unit design supports up to four connected devices, including as many as two supported FortiGate units and two FortiSwitch units. Dual AC inputs, two DC outputs, front-panel LED indicators, included power cables, and a power budget of up to 1,178 watts simplify deployment and monitoring. Built for resilient network operations, FortiRPS 740 offers an affordable way to add power redundancy without replacing existing security or switching equipment.
