Many avionics systems—including FMS, flight directors, synthetic vision, autopilot, TAWS, TCAS, transponders with ADS‑B, and datalink—depend on a stable GPS input, making controlled simulation essential to prevent downtime or the need to move the aircraft outside. For smaller aircraft, accurate dynamic GPS data is also required for proper ADS‑B operation, enabling consistent position and altitude reporting during testing.
