Iranian Cyber Actors May Target Vulnerable US Networks and Entities of Interest
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, alongside federal partners, issued a joint warning regarding potential targeted cyber activity from Iranian-affiliated actors against United States critical infrastructure and vulnerable networks. To help organizations defend against state-sponsored intrusions, credential harvesting, and disruptive attacks, CISA provided specialized software utilities, automated threat detection platforms, and vulnerability scanning tools. These advanced digital resources empower IT and security teams to quickly identify unpatched software, eliminate default credentials, and monitor network perimeters effectively, ensuring critical systems remain resilient against evolving geopolitical cyber threats.
