This datasheet describes the Keysight Metronome Timing System for synchronizing distributed network tests to a common precision time reference. It integrates with IxNetwork and IxExplorer to support data center, Time-Sensitive Networking, Audio Video Bridging, industrial automation, and IoT validation. A single-level topology synchronizes up to eight supported Keysight chassis, while Metronome-STAR configurations can scale to as many as 48 AresONE systems or mixed supported chassis. Standard timing inputs, including GPS and BNC references, allow devices under test and traffic generators to share consistent timing.
