Radware protected a major EMEA-based government agency from a massive and highly complex web DDoS attack that combined both application-layer and network-layer techniques. The campaign lasted nearly 48 hours and consisted of seven distinct attack waves, with the largest wave continuing for more than 17 hours. The attack reached extremely high volumes, highlighting its scale and intensity. By leveraging advanced mitigation capabilities, Radware successfully detected and blocked the multi-layered threats in real time, ensuring continued service availability. Despite the persistence and complexity of the attack, the agency was able to maintain operations, demonstrating the effectiveness of robust DDoS protection against large-scale and prolonged cyber threats.
