Radware Protects Major Bank Against DNS DDoS Campaign
Radware protected a major European bank with over 150 million customers from a large-scale, persistent DNS DDoS attack that began in January 2023. The campaign lasted six months and involved more than 70 attack waves targeting the bank’s DNS infrastructure and applications. Many of these waves were highly intense, with some peaking at nearly 170,000 queries per second. The prolonged and repetitive nature of the attack made it particularly challenging. Radware’s real-time signature creation and advanced mitigation capabilities enabled continuous detection and blocking of malicious traffic, ensuring service availability. Despite the scale, duration, and complexity of the campaign, the bank maintained stable operations and uninterrupted access for its global customer base.
