Radware successfully protected a major European online business from a large, persistent, and complex web DDoS attack that evolved over time. Initially launched by a hacktivist group with political motives, the attack later shifted to financial extortion, with attackers demanding millions in ransom. The campaign was notable for its persistence, lasting nearly a week and involving around 20 separate attack waves. Each wave demonstrated significant scale and intensity, requiring continuous monitoring and rapid mitigation. Radware’s advanced protection capabilities enabled the organization to withstand the attack, maintain service availability, and prevent disruption to its online operations despite the complexity, duration, and evolving nature of the threat.
