The T‑BERD/MTS‑2000 with a 4100‑series OTDR module uses the Smart Test Assistant to simplify fiber testing by guiding users through setup, execution, and results analysis. Before connecting, all fiber interfaces must be inspected and cleaned using a P5000i or FiberChek probe until they pass inspection. After connecting the launch cable and fiber under test, the Smart Test Assistant automatically configures OTDR settings, runs the test, and provides clear results to identify faults, reflections, or loss points. This workflow improves testing accuracy and streamlines troubleshooting for field technicians.
