The T‑BERD/MTS‑5800 can perform C37.94 Bit Error Rate Testing to verify optical teleprotection circuits by testing to a hard loop or another configured unit. With the required software and C37.94 BERT option, along with a matching single‑mode or multimode SFP and appropriate fiber cables, the tester measures bit errors and signal integrity on C37.94 links. All connectors must be inspected and cleaned with a P5000i or FiberChek probe before testing. The quick card explains how to configure the interface, launch the test, and analyze results to ensure reliable performance of C37.94 teleprotection channels.
