BenchmarkingApp is a web-based application within VIAVI AION that automates Layer 2–7 benchmarking to measure and report network device performance. It enables manufacturers, service providers, and enterprises to evaluate forwarding behavior, throughput, and scalability, while also comparing devices from different vendors. With a simplified workflow featuring visual topology configuration and automated execution, BenchmarkingApp currently supports RFC 2544 Layer 2–3 benchmarking and RFC 6349 TCP throughput testing. Additional IETF-based tests will be added in future releases to expand benchmarking coverage.
