The VIAVI TestCenter Active Performance Monitoring Bundle for AION emulates TWAMP and TWAMP Light to measure round‑trip performance metrics such as latency and jitter using probe packets. TWAMP is widely used for SLA verification and includes TWAMP‑Control and TWAMP‑Test components. In TWAMP Light, the Control‑Client, Server, and Session‑Sender operate on a single controller host, while the Session‑Reflector runs on a separate responder host. The reflector simply returns received packets without maintaining full session state, enabling lightweight yet accurate performance measurement across network paths for continuous monitoring and troubleshooting.
