Instead, it uses IGP protocols like OSPF, ISIS, and BGP to distribute forwarding labels or segment IDs, allowing only the ingress node to maintain flow state while reusing the MPLS forwarding plane. The solution enables realistic network emulation, allowing users to model complex topologies and assess functionality, scalability, performance, high availability, and failover convergence for segment routing environments.
