VTR R5 for HPE NonStop is an entry-level virtual tape solution that replaces physical tape for HPE NonStop backups. It provides fully automated, transparent backup and restore operations using disk-based virtual tape storage protected by RAID 6. The solution supports one or two NonStop systems, emulates up to eight tape drives, and enables replication between local or remote VTRs for disaster recovery. By eliminating manual tape handling, VTR R5 improves availability, reduces operational effort, and enhances backup frequency and reliability for mission-critical environments.
