The YubiKey 5 FIPS Series is a FIPS-validated, multi-protocol hardware authenticator designed for government agencies and regulated organizations that require phishing-resistant authentication. It supports FIDO2/WebAuthn, PIV Smart Card, OpenPGP, Yubico OTP, OATH, challenge-response, and static passwords, with passwordless and multi-factor authentication options. Six form factors provide USB-A, USB-C, NFC, and Lightning connectivity across Windows, macOS, Android, Linux, and leading browsers. Authentication secrets remain on the secure element and are never transmitted, helping defend against phishing and account takeover.
