This whitepaper focuses on validating operator-facing HMIs in edge energy devices such as meters, relays, inverters, and controllers. It highlights that traditional automation struggles because production firmware rarely exposes UI metadata, frame-buffer access, or reliable hooks, making simulator-based testing incomplete.
