Artificial Intelligence for Children
The World Economic Forum’s Artificial Intelligence for Children report highlights both the opportunities and risks of AI in shaping young people’s lives. AI can support education, creativity, and safety, but without safeguards it risks reinforcing bias, exploiting data, or undermining rights. The framework emphasizes six principles: fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy, safety, and child-centered design. It calls on governments, industry, educators, and parents to collaborate in building policies and systems that prioritize children’s well-being. Embedding these values ensures AI contributes to safe learning, development, and inclusion for future generations.
