It enables new ways of working such as remote design, deployment planning, real-time process monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance. These applications can boost efficiency, expand workforce inclusiveness, and improve employee well-being while providing organizations with better knowledge sharing and productivity gains. However, unresolved challenges remain around ergonomics, cognitive load, safety, ethics, and motivation. Finland, with its strong digital expertise, could emerge as a leader in developing scalable industrial metaverse solutions.
