Project EPIC
Project EPIC by Kinexys (J.P. Morgan) explores scalable blockchain-based finance through privacy, identity, and composability. It showcases how institutional fund operations can benefit from on-chain confidentiality via zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), and stealth addresses. The initiative piloted real-world use cases like private settlement, KYC reuse, and secondary trading, using solutions from Zama, Fhenix, AvaCloud, Rayls, and PADL. Findings show ZKPs offer strong privacy-compliance balance, while FHE and stealth addresses offer complementary benefits. The project underlines that scalable digital identity and privacy are crucial to driving institutional tokenization adoption.
