Self-Driving CAR: The Promise of In Vivo CAR-T Therapy for Hematologic Malignancies
This white paper explores how in vivo CAR-T therapy could transform treatment for hematologic malignancies such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Conventional autologous CAR-T therapies have delivered strong results in relapsed or refractory disease but require patients’ T cells to be collected, engineered in specialized facilities, and reinfused after lymphodepletion. This complex process can involve long manufacturing times, high costs, limited access, and treatment delays. In vivo approaches aim to generate CAR-T cells directly inside the patient using targeted delivery systems, potentially creating a faster, scalable, and more accessible treatment model.
