As part of a new Wi‑Fi architecture, these devices will connect directly to ERP systems to retrieve current prices. However, secure access requires client certificates, which were previously installed manually by IT specialists using time‑consuming PC connections. With around 18,000 scanners in use, this approach was inefficient and resource intensive. To address this challenge, the company sought an automated solution to roll out client certificates quickly and securely, reducing manual effort, accelerating deployment, and ensuring consistent, scalable Wi‑Fi access across all stores.
