Markforged helped PUNCH Torino significantly reduce the development time of camshaft locking tools by leveraging their Simulation software alongside the X7 printer and Onyx carbon fiber material. This technology enabled PUNCH Torino to cut trial-and-error iterations from up to eight down to just one to three, saving over 50% in development time and drastically reducing material costs from 1400 to 200 euros per tool. Simulation allowed precise prediction of part strength and print settings, optimizing design and manufacturing efficiency while ensuring the tools withstand the required torque and stiffness.
