Chunghwa Telecom worked with Verimatrix to build a disaster-recovery architecture spanning four geographically separated data centers in Taipei and Tainan. Each regional center could fail over to a local backup while northern and southern subscriber databases remained independent for separate billing and customer management. Verimatrix combined VCAS for IPTV with a custom OTT solution to synchronize encrypted content and rapidly changing decryption keys across every head-end in real time.
