DPG Media’s Newscity needed to modernize its polling application so it could withstand sudden surges in real-time requests during high-interest events such as national elections. Traditional infrastructure could not reliably absorb peak traffic or integrate the SaaS polling system with front-end media platforms at the required speed. Cloudar created a cloud-native serverless architecture using Amazon API Gateway to manage and secure requests, Lambda to process poll interactions, DynamoDB for fast NoSQL storage, and SQS to queue and decouple workloads. Cloudar also assisted with function code and architecture optimization.
