Coop needed a more stable, reliable, and cost-effective platform for its webshop and back-office systems, with migration downtime limited to less than eight hours. Cloudar moved the on-premises Oracle databases to Amazon RDS using S3 import, replaced an FTP workflow with AWS Transfer for SFTP, integrated EC2-hosted e-commerce systems, and used Route 53 resolvers to connect with on-premises SAP. The Intershop platform gained redundant web, application, and Solr servers plus the ability to scale as needed. AWS delivered significant performance gains and cost savings, while managed services and 24/7 support reduced downtime and operational burden.
