This case study describes how Germany’s DLR tested its GALANT controlled-radiation-pattern antenna receiver against sophisticated GNSS jamming and spoofing. The system required precise simulation of multiple constellations, eight antenna elements, directional interferers, custom signals, phase alignment, and calibration inputs. Keysight delivered a customized GSS9000 platform with eight composite RF outputs, SimGEN software, up to 64 channels per antenna, Galileo PRS readiness, and jammer-to-signal ratios reaching 110 dB. Controlled tests showed that post-correlation beamforming reduced interference effects, while intelligent null steering prevented sustained performance loss. The solution also maintained or increased available satellites by improving gain for low-elevation signals.
