As part of the national independent Policing Productivity Review, PwC was commissioned through Bloom’s NEPRO³ framework to develop a better way for police forces to compare performance and cost. PwC created a model-process tool that combines performance outcomes and policing costs in interactive dashboards, allowing forces to benchmark relative productivity and identify opportunities for improvement. Working with six pilot forces, NPCC national leads, and SMEs, the team examined burglary, domestic abuse, public contact, and anti-social behaviour. An agile nine-month design, testing, build, and iteration process produced a Power BI proof of concept using real force data.
