This case study focuses on an executive whose Microsoft Outlook account was compromised, resulting in hundreds of fraudulent emails sent in his name. The breach posed risks not only to the executive but also to the corporate network and email recipients. BlackCloak identified the source of the attack, linked to a compromised Azure virtual machine and reused passwords found on the dark web. They secured the account by enforcing multi-factor authentication, resetting credentials, and removing exposed data from broker sites.
