Faster, Better Scaffolding Design

Pages 2 Pages

RINGER redesigned a critical scaffolding component to increase allowable height while minimizing material usage. Traditional FEA workflows delayed feedback and often led to over-dimensioned designs. By using Altair SimSolid, engineers performed structural analyses directly on full CAD geometry without meshing. Load analyses were conducted in parallel with design changes, enabling immediate feedback. The optimized cornice frame design increased scaffolding height capability from two to seven stories without added weight. The approach reduced development time, cut costs, minimized material usage, and democratized simulation across RINGER’s engineering team while maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance.
