Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli partnered with Altair to accelerate boat development for the 37th America’s Cup under extreme time and performance pressure. Using Altair HPCWorks, the team transformed its simulation strategy by running high-fidelity structural analyses and nonlinear simulations in parallel. The platform enabled efficient workload management, rapid iteration, and creation of virtual performance profiles for design candidates. Reduced-order models derived from HPC simulations were integrated into the team’s global boat simulator, improving collaboration across engineering disciplines. The result was faster development cycles, improved performance optimization, and greater confidence heading into one of the world’s most competitive sailing events.
