A leading North American prepaid telecom provider with 21M+ active subscribers had fragmented customer records and delayed integrations across multi-vendor systems, which weakened customer identification, limited real-time visibility into activity, contributed to churn via underperforming loyalty programs, and even drove device stockouts. Marlabs designed and implemented an AWS-based data lakehouse to unify customer data into a single source of truth, enable real-time ingestion using Kafka and Kinesis, and improve governance and compliance through data stewardship training, change management, data quality monitoring, and MDM policy finalization, then expanded self-service access for leadership and future flexibility. Results included an ~8% churn reduction, ~13% fewer operational requests
