Case Study
Improving Newborn Care Knowledge in Tanzania with Adaptive E-Learning
This case study examines how the Pediatric Acute Care Education (PACE) program used adaptive e-learning to improve healthcare provider knowledge of newborn care guidelines in Tanzania. The challenge was ensuring consistent training across a resource-constrained system. By combining adaptive modules with in-person support and motivation strategies, the program achieved high reach and strong initial engagement. While refresher completion remained a challenge, the initiative significantly improved knowledge awareness and highlighted the potential of adaptive learning to enhance healthcare education in low-resource environments.
