A tier-one enterprise computing and storage OEM challenged Sanmina to redesign a rack system enclosure, boosting load rating from 2,800 lbs to 3,850 lbs, expanding form factor from 40U to 42U while fitting 46U capacity in 42U space, and passing rigorous ISTA testing plus a fully loaded 10° tilt-and-drop test. Sanmina's advanced software enabled precise structural simulations, optimization algorithms, and rapid prototyping—delivering an innovative design that exceeded goals, added 4U of effective space, and increased load rating by 1,000 lbs for superior performance and reliability.
