An internationally active chemical trading company set out to align its IT security strategy with a broader digital corporate mission. Planned changes included replacing the existing WAN infrastructure and moving office applications to the cloud, alongside several other IT initiatives aimed at achieving strategic goals and reducing costs. As many of these changes were not yet fully scheduled, IT needed to remain flexible while ensuring security and compliance were maintained throughout the transformation. The objective was to harmonize IT security with digital innovation by supporting business strategies, processes, organization, and infrastructure in a structured and forward-looking manner, ensuring that security became an enabler rather than a barrier to the company’s digital mission.
