Longking needed to redesign coal transfer chutes to reduce dust emissions, blockages, and uneven conveyor loading. Using Altair EDEM BulkSim, engineers simulated dry and wet coal flow to analyze velocity, wear, and impact behavior. Multiple design iterations were evaluated virtually, resulting in a chute with improved flow control, softer belt loading, and reduced wear. The final design solved persistent operational issues and increased client confidence by demonstrating performance visually before implementation.
