Green Mountain, a leading Nordic data center operator, expanded its DC1-Stavanger site with Vertiv solutions to meet sustainability and efficiency goals. The underground facility, cooled naturally by fjord water, required compact, energy-efficient systems. Vertiv deployed Liebert PCW chilled water perimeter units adding 5 MW cooling capacity and Liebert EXL S1 UPS at its DC3-Oslo site, delivering high efficiency, power density, and a footprint up to 60% smaller than competitors. Despite pandemic challenges, Vertiv ensured delivery and installation in nine months. The upgrades improved PUE, reinforced Green Mountain’s green credentials, and strengthened its long-term partnership with Vertiv.
