A large U.S. power transmission cooperative operating more than 120 substations across two states wanted to strengthen OT security and improve alignment with NERC CIP, NIST CSF, and IEC 62443 practices. After a third-party assessment, InfoSight recommended adding ICS/SCADA monitoring and selected Radiflow’s iSID intrusion detection system. Remote substations used iSAP Smart Collectors to transmit traffic efficiently to a central iSID instance, while larger sites received standalone deployments managed through iCEN. Within 24 hours of the first deployment, the system detected unwanted external traffic leaking into the OT LAN, leading to tighter firewall ACLs.
