NVIDIA used Altair’s simulation-driven network planning tools to design a private 5G network for its 750,000-square-foot Voyager campus. Physical testing of radio placement and throughput would have been costly and slow. By creating a detailed digital model of the building, NVIDIA evaluated coverage, interference, and throughput across multiple radio configurations. The virtual approach delivered results more than ten times faster than physical testing while eliminating equipment costs. The optimized network supported high-bandwidth applications such as intelligent video analytics and provided a scalable foundation for future edge computing use cases.
