Case Study
Tackling Educational Inequality with Adaptive Mathematics Learning in Denmark
This case study focuses on a collaboration between BL and Area9 Lyceum to address educational inequality among students in disadvantaged housing areas through adaptive math learning. The challenge was closing significant skill gaps in mathematics among children with limited support and resources. The solution delivered a full adaptive curriculum for grades 6–9, providing personalized learning experiences tailored to each student. Results showed strong engagement, with students completing a large portion of the curriculum and demonstrating improved motivation and understanding. The initiative highlights how adaptive learning can create equal opportunities and improve long-term educational outcomes for underserved communities.
