CENGN, Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks, faced a critical challenge: validating a client’s new DDoS defense solution within a realistic, hybrid-cloud environment. Traditional traffic generators proved insufficient for modern, distributed architectures, leaving the team unable to accurately stress-test the system. By deploying Keysight’s CyPerf, CENGN successfully emulated complex, real-world workloads, including both legitimate traffic and sophisticated malicious DDoS attack vectors, across physical and virtual infrastructures. CyPerf’s ability to safely simulate these threats at scale enabled CENGN to rigorously validate the defense tool's efficacy, ensuring robust protection without compromising the integrity of the live network environment.
