At a Crossroads: The path forward for the UN SDGs
At the halfway point to the 2030 deadline, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are at a critical crossroads. The 2023 Sustainable Development Report shows that only about half of the goals have made meaningful progress, while 30% have stalled or moved backward, making achievement by 2030 unlikely without significant intervention. To get back on track, governments, businesses, and other stakeholders must accelerate efforts and adopt new strategies for sustainable development.
