Beyond the résumé: Building a workforce with a skills-based approach
Rapid technological change and the short lifespan of digital skills are making traditional job descriptions and skills frameworks quickly outdated, pushing organizations toward a skills-based approach to workforce planning. With some technical skills becoming obsolete in as little as 2.5 years and AI advancements, including generative tools, expected to impact around 300 million jobs, employers must rethink how they hire and develop talent. Focusing on skills rather than roles enables greater adaptability, helping organizations stay relevant, close skill gaps, and better respond to evolving business needs in a fast-changing work environment.
